M. McCray Ashby, MD
M. McCray Ashby was born and raised in Cox’s Creek, KY, attending the Nelson County School System. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY. He then attended University of Louisville College of Medicine earning his Medical Doctorate in 2005 where he was awarded the S. Spafford Ackerly Award for “Outstanding Performance in Pyschiatry”. He completed the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at University of Louisville in 2008 where he was awarded the Martin L. Grossman Award as “Outstanding Resident in Consultation/ Liaison Psychiatry”, the Community Psychiatry Award, and the Ruby & John Schwab Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Ashby completed the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Louisville in 2010 where he was awarded the Mohammad Shafii, MD Award for Excellence. He enjoys working with children and adolescents by offering personalized care focused to the diverse needs of each individual. Dr. Ashby is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Tammy Pennington,
MD, PLLC

Tammy Pennington was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1994 from the University of Louisville.  After working in healthcare for a few years she decided to return to school.  She graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 2005.  During that time she received the "S. Spafford Ackerly Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry".  Dr. Pennington completed her Psychiatric Residency training from the University of Louisville in June 2009. During her training at the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences she received the following awards: "Post graduate year-2 Inpatient Psychiatry Award",  "Harvey R. St. Clair, M.D. Award in Psychodynamics" and "The Dr. Henry P. and M. Page Durkee Laughlin Foundation Award of Distinguished Laughlin Fellow for 2009".  During her residency at the University of Louisville she had the privilege of training under a number of accomplished, very distinguished and nationally recognized physicians in the field of Psychiatry.  Dr. Pennington chose the field of Psychiatry as a result of her dedication and commitment to helping those in need of mental health services. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Michael Thompson,
MD, PLLC

Michael Thompson was born and raised in Louisville, graduating from Trinity High School. Now practicing in his hometown, Dr. Thompson is invested in improving the mental health of his community. He received Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Biology at the University of Kentucky. He also graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. As former Chief-Resident of Psychiatry at the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Dr. Thompson is accustomed to serving and treating the mental health needs of Kentuckiana. He trained under a number of distinguished and nationally recognized psychiatrists during his residency, and has utilized these skills in his daily interactions with his patients. Dr. Thompson's practice style combines in-depth psychotherapy with customized medication management, with an emphasis in empowering his patients to help improve their own life. While enjoying treating all adults, Dr.  Thompson has a special interest in men's mental health. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Tanya D. Wozniak,
MD, PLLC

Dr. Wozniak was born and raised in Lexington, Ky.  She attended Bellarmine University where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  She received her medical education and residency training at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine.  During her residency, she had the privilege of training under a number of accomplished, distinguished and nationally recognized psychiatrists. She was the recipient of the 2007 John Bell Emergency Psychiatry Award and the 2008 Veteran’s Administration Award. Dr. Wozniak believes in the importance of offering a collaborative, customized treatment plan for each patient, often combining medication with other forms of therapeutic interventions. In the event of a crisis or need for urgent appointment, she makes every effort to see you the same or next business day. She has a special interest in treating the mental health needs of athletes and is a member of the International Society for Sport Psychiatry. Dr. Wozniak is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
